The Global Coherent Performers' Community is an international group of musicians, dancers, poets and theater artists who seek to help promote peace and harmony through the power of the heart and the performing arts.

Ruth Cunningham is a founding member Anonymous 4 and a sound healing practitioner. She specializes in early music performance as well as improvisational sacred music from varied spiritual traditions in both liturgical and concert settings. She works with individuals and groups on using the voice and music as tools for healing.  With Anonymous 4, Ruth performed in concerts and festivals throughout the United States, Europe and the Far East and made thirteen recordings.  Ruth’s own CD releases are Light and Shadow: Chants, Prayers and Improvisations and Harpmodes: Journey for Voice and Harp. She has released two CDs of multi faith chants with colleague Ana Hernandez: Blessed by Light and HARC: Inside Chants. She has been the musician for a number of summer courses for Ubiquity University in Chartres France. David Eby, founding cellist for the internationally acclaimed band, Pink Martini, began his practice of meditation in 1996, completely shifting the focus of his life. Intrigued with the connection between music, meditation and consciousness, he spent 12 years directing and producing music at the Ananda Village, working directly with Swami Kriyananda. He recently shared about these experiences in his TEDx talk, “This Might Resonate with You”.

David was recently featured in the Hollywood film, Finding Happiness, and continues to explore and share the connections between music and consciousness that become present in inspired performance. Tian Jiang is an internationally renowned pianist, recognized for his signature colors in sound and over-the-edge thrilling virtuosity. Tian first came to international attention when he appeared with Vladimir Ashkenazy in a BBC film about his historic visit to China in 1980. A year later, Tian was one of the five young musicians chosen by Isaac Stern to come to the US and take part in the first cultural exchange program between China and the United States. He studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Manhattan School of Music, and finished his master degree at The Juilliard School.

In 1997, Tian joined the Columbia Artists Management roster as the first mainland Chinese concert pianist. Captivating audiences from North America to Europe to the Far East, Tian has been enthusiastically received in concerto appearances with numerous orchestras worldwide. He is proud to be the first Chinese pianist to have toured his homeland with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on its historic visit to China in 2000. He has collaborated with conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Daniele Gatti, Ettore Stratta, and Gerald Schwartz. In recital he has performed in many of the music capitals in the world.

As a recording artist, Tian has 14 albums to his credit. Including a double CD album “Tian Jiang Live at Carnegie Hall”. His original composition “Shanghai Dream” has been heralded by the World Music Reviews as “a slice of heaven”. Fred Johnson, Inayati Sufi Order Spiritual Elder, Director, Vocal Performer, Sacred Chanter, Author, Painter, Arts Educator, is a graduate of the National Academy of the Performing Arts as well as the Master Performers School of the National Mime Theater.

He is recognized globally for his work in the health and wellness community and was instrumental in establishing the inspiring “HeArts & Hope” program at the University of Florida. His presentations on the healing power of music have caught the attention of internationally recognized holistic health practitioners. Fred presents lectures and seminars all over the world re-accentuating the importance of creative expression as a catalyst for personal and communal empowerment, health and healing and giving voice to the voiceless.

Mentored by masters of the African oral and percussion legacy, Fred has been hailed as one of the true guardians of an oral tradition transplanted and nurtured to create a fusion of cultural heritage that is uniquely American and inherently African. His global presentations of “Jazz, it’s Roots and Branches” has served to inform and inspire audiences around the world to recognize and celebrate a creative global tapestry set by the first woven thread sown from the artistic richness of Africa. His forty-five years of experience as an artist, arts administrator and educator has uniquely equipped him to be poised to both create structure and artistically inspire.

Daniel Kelly is an artist who has been called “stunningly original” with “a visionary imagination.” He explores the meeting place of music with literature, visual art and journalism, captivating audiences across the country. He’s a prolific composer and tireless musical explorer who continually seeks out new avenues for his creativity.

All the World’s a Song: Shakespeare in Jazz is Dan’s interpretation of Shakespeare’s works into fresh and dynamic jazz songs that have audiences singing along in sheer delight. Blind Visionaries is his multi-media collaboration with the pioneering group of visually impaired photographers, the Seeing with Photography Collective.

Rakonto, Dan’s massive ongoing series of interview-based concerts, have been commissioned by performing arts centers across the US. Each of these twelve concert-length works have transformed stories everyday people, like farmers, teachers, students, immigrants, hurricane survivors, seniors and many others from ages 4 to 94, into dramatic and compelling music that celebrates our shared human experience. Audiences around the country have been deeply moved by Kelly’s innovative joining of journalism and music that seamlessly blends recorded interviews with compelling, original compositions performed by his band of world-class musicians.

Brett Mitchell Is hailed for presenting engaging, in-depth explorations of thoughtfully curated programs, and is in consistent demand on the podium at home and abroad. He has performed with many orchestras at home and abroad including the San Francisco, and Vancouver symphonies, the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl, the Cleveland and Minnesota orchestras, and a two-week tour with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. Brett also regularly collaborates with the world’s leading soloists, including Yo-Yo Ma and Renée Fleming.

In August 2021, Brett was named an Artistic Partner with the Pasadena Symphony for their 2021-22 concert season. In September 2021, he was named Artistic Director and Conductor of Oregon’s Sunriver Music Festival, beginning a three-year term in August 2022. In addition to his work with professional orchestras, Brett is also well known for his affinity for working with and mentoring young musicians aspiring to be professional orchestral players.

Born in Seattle, Brett holds degrees in conducting from the University of Texas at Austin and composition from Western Washington University. He also studied with Leonard Slatkin at the National Conducting Institute, and was selected by Kurt Masur as a recipient of the inaugural American Friends of the Mendelssohn Foundation Scholarship in 2008. Johnnie Proby, known as the Classical Voice Healer, is a live therapeutic music practitioner, sound energy healer, HeartMath Certified Practitioner. She uses music, sound, and vibrations to help people facing stress and anxiety, burnout, grief and loss, trauma, and those in transition to calm, heal, and uplift. She facilitates live and virtual wellness workshops that teachers how to use music and sound energy as a therapeutic tool in our daily lives to overcome emotional pain, stress, anxiety, grief, and loss.

Martha Reich is an award-winning Santa Fe-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.  She has performed around the world and is often compared to Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez. Her songs possess exquisite poetry, capturing the depth of personal and universal subjects while tapping into something true and real for all that listen deeply with their minds as well as hearts.

Martha is deeply inspired by nature and her unique style features an honesty and vulnerability. She has released five albums and has won numerous awards. Her most recent ‘BRAVE BIRD’ winning a Gold Medal for Female Vocalist in the Global Music Awards and LA Critics Award for Best Folk Artist.

Kathleen Riley is a pianist, Yamaha Artist in Education, performer, producer, researcher, lecturer, educator and writer with a mission to help performing artists, as well as children and adults, connect more deeply with their purpose and heart’s intelligence, and to voice it through their creativity.

Kathleen pursued a doctorate in piano performance to explore and create innovative ways to deepen pianists’ awareness of nuances in performers’ interpretations. She then went on to post-doctoral studies in neurophysiology and psychology at NYU, as well as certifications in biofeedback. Kathleen wove this new found knowledge into her “toolbox” and created classes and coaching sessions for both students and professionals to shift into coherence and align with purpose and clarity to their vision.

Her latest research study explored the effects of a shared heart intention among members of a string quartet on the musicians and audience members. The research was filmed and produced as a documentary, Intention: The Power of the Heart. In response to COVID-19, she created the Global Coherent Performers Community on Facebook.

In addition, Kathleen has added several new platforms to share her expertise– former show host on the Awake TV Network of Sounds of Coherence, for three seasons. Peter Sterling is an award-winning harpist who began to play after a series of life changing angelic encounters in the canyons of Sedona in the early 1990’s. His heart felt and celestial harp music has touched the hearts and souls of people worldwide with many listeners reporting beautiful visions, angel encounters and even miraculous healing’s while listening to Peter’s heavenly music. Dan Tepfer has earned an international reputation as a pianist-composer of wide-ranging ambition, individuality, and drive—one “who refuses to set himself limits” (France’s Télérama). Based in New York City, Dan was born in Paris to American parents. He has performed around the world with some of the leading lights in jazz and classical music, and released ten albums of his own.

Dan earned global acclaim for his 2011 release Goldberg Variations / Variations, a disc that sees him performing J.S. Bach’s masterpiece as well as improvising upon it—to “elegant, thoughtful and thrilling” effect (New York magazine). His newest album, Natural Machines, stands as one of his most ingeniously forward-minded yet, finding him exploring in real time the intersection between science and art, coding and improvisation, digital algorithms and the rhythms of the heart. The New York Times has called him “a deeply rational improviser drawn to the unknown.”
